PhD in Biological Chemistry at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ, Brazil) in 2001 and sabbatical at Boston University School of Medicine (Boston, US) in 2014-2015. He is currently Associate professor at Institute of Medical Biochemistry (IBqM-UFRJ) and an affiliate member of Brazilian Academy of Sciences.

Posdoctorate at National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease/National Institutes of Health (2008-2010). She is currently Associate professor at Institute of Medical Biochemistry (IBqM-UFRJ).
